When we open doors for everyone, we all win with better ideas, stronger friendships, and a community that feels like home.
I created a safe, sensory-friendly social space to celebrate inclusion in Dumfries and set specialized training requirements so our police respond to crises with patience and compassion. If re-elected, I will continue building a Town where every resident is treated with dignity and every voice has a seat at the table.
Dumfries is strongest when no one is left out, and I'll keep working so every family can picture a bright future here.
Public Safety
Public safety is the foundation of everything we want for Dumfries: thriving small businesses, strong families, and neighborhoods where our children can grow up with hope. I put our police department on the path to accreditation, so it can meet high national standards to keep our neighborhoods safe.Now I want to build on that progress.
If re-elected, I will keep investing in community policing so our officers are known faces in our neighborhoods, building the trust and relationships that prevent crime before it starts. I will push to expand access to mental health resources, including crisis response that pairs trained professionals with law enforcement, so residents in distress get the care they need. And I will keep our young people at the center of this work by supporting mentorship, after-school and summer programs, job training, and violence prevention initiatives that give every young person in Dumfries a safe place to go and a path forward.
Accreditation set the standard; now let's make sure every resident feels protected, respected, and heard. I'm asking for your vote so we can keep building a safer Dumfries together.
Transportation
Access means opportunity. I mobilized to secure the funding to widen Route 1, making it easier and safer for neighbors to get to work, school, and home.
f re-elected, I will fight for additional funding to complete the build-out of Main Street, creating a walkable, vibrant town center that supports our local businesses. I will also strengthen our partnership with PRTC to expand transportation options, so every resident has convenient, affordable ways to reach jobs and opportunities across the region. Let's keep investing in roads, sidewalks, and transit that open new doors for every neighbor.
Economic Integrity
Responsibility builds trust. I drove economic development efforts to keep tax rates low, so our Town stays strong and our neighbors get the most for their money.
Every dollar the Town spends belongs to the people of Dumfries, and I take that seriously. If re-elected, I will bring careful planning to every decision, attracting businesses that grow our local economy while investing in what matters most.
I look forward to leaving our kids a Town that is stronger than we found it, and I'm asking for your vote to keep Dumfries on a path of smart growth.
